I
am so excited! Here is the first real Art Doll Adventures site! What
will be here when it is finished? Well, hopefully you will find fun
stuff about doll making, how-tos and who-dos, info on creativity,
drawing, doll making, art dolls, and a general commentary on the state
of the art of art dolls. There will also be a link where you can buy my
patterns and books, a gallery of my dolls as well as the wonderful
things you make AND more!
For the moment, I have a link to the book to the right, and here is alittle description from the publisher, Rockport Press.
Using
history as a starting point, Lisa-Li Hertzi has created five exciting
doll projects, inspired by five very different cultural and historical
icons/figures. Through the projects, she explores the creative process,
the meaning and significance of each figure, and teaches techniques
that doll makers are currently experimenting with: journaling, collage,
mixed media, and found objects. Each doll is presented as a
step-by-step project with complete instructions, and is followed by a
gallery featuring interpretations by leading doll artists of the same
cultural figure. Fantastic full color illustrations and patterns by the
author are included.
The Blog Link works and the others will work in just a bit!
